Attending the Papal Mass Requires a Ticket
Tickets are required for attendance at the Canonization Mass of Blessed Junípero Serra that Pope Francis will celebrate on Sept. 23 at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and The Catholic University of America. No one without a ticket will be allowed to enter the secure area of the campus where the Mass will be held.
The Archdiocese of Washington has provided Catholic University with an allocation of tickets for members of its community. The number is limited and will be made available only to full-time faculty, staff, students, and alumni. The University does not have a sufficient number to provide a ticket to every member of the University community who might wish to receive one. All tickets are free of charge and nontransferable.
The archdiocese is also providing a limited number of tickets for distribution through local parishes. For those who are unable to secure a ticket, the Mass will be broadcast live online.
